After the large makeover of the fashion industry in North-Rhine Westfalia (NRW), the fashion industry in Dortmund has emerged as one of the strongest segments of the creative sector. It has had a very positive increase of sales ( +106% vs –41% in the rest of NRW). In addition to established manufacturing companies, Dortmund also offers many courses in private and public universities.
